An international employer takes on Israeli obligations from its first hire in Israel, and often needs to bring people in from abroad as well. We act on both sides of that — the terms of employment and the permits the work requires — for the employer.
This is corporate work rather than a personal immigration service. Our client is normally the employer: a foreign company opening an Israeli operation, an Israeli subsidiary of an international group, or a business that needs a particular executive or specialist on the ground in Israel.
The employment side begins with the documents. Israeli employment terms are not the group's standard contract translated, and an agreement that was not written for Israel tends to be discovered at exactly the point where it matters. We draft the agreements, review the policies behind them, and set out what being an employer in Israel obliges the company to do.
The immigration side runs in parallel and on the authorities' timetable rather than ours. We prepare the employer's application, conduct the dealings with the Population and Immigration Authority, and coordinate the move with the family's arrangements and with the company's advisers abroad. What is granted, and when, is for the authority to decide.
Contracts written for employment in Israel, rather than adapted from a group template drafted elsewhere.
What an employer in Israel is required to put in place and keep on record, and how those obligations are checked.
Engagement terms for senior and specialist staff, including confidentiality, restrictive covenants and incentive arrangements.

The employer's side of moving people into Israel: who may be brought in, on what basis, and what the company undertakes.
The legal arrangements around a senior move to Israel, including the employment terms it runs on and the family that comes with it.
Conducting the company's dealings with the Authority, in Hebrew, and answering in full what it asks.
Claims brought by or against an employer, handled first in correspondence and then, where necessary, before the Israeli labour courts.
Bringing an employment relationship to an end correctly, and dealing with the entitlements that arise when it ends.
